Satellite T.V. for Mom

Today was a big day for Mom.  We got satellite service hooked up to her T.V. in her bedroom.  A while back, I posted about how Mom wanted to clean her room before having a technician come out to hook up her T.V.

At the time, I thought she was close to having her room ready, but I was wrong.  All of the papers and junk that she had cleared out ended up going right back where they came from, only arranged differently.  She kept asking us to wait because she wanted to finish her room.  I realized if we continued to wait on Mom, she would never be ready.

My husband and I agreed that we would set up a time a couple of weeks in advance, and then tell Mom.  We gave her the date, and she went to work on her room.  No, she didn’t clear out all of her stuff, but she did get everything hidden and out of the way so her T.V. could be hooked up.

Now, it’s all hooked up and Mom can enjoy over 200 channels in digital quality from the comfort of her own room.  I’m really glad we got this set up before we leave to go out of town this weekend.  I think she’ll feel safer at night watching T.V. in her own room.
