Life is Really, Really, Really Grand!

Wow, this week I was nominated for the Life is Grand award by three people!  Please visit their blogs, they are really great!

Glue 4 Families – This is a warm, funny and intelligent blog about a work-from-home lawyer.  She shares stories and comments on timely events.

From Huskies to Husbands – Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in Wyoming?  Check out this blog for some great stories and to see her beautiful dogs!

My Heart Voice – This is a lovely blog of heartful stories.  It is a very enjoyable blog to stop to read.

Thank you all so much for thinking of me!

Now, I must list five reasons why I think life is grand:

1.  Life is grand because I have a wonderful family.  I have been married for over 13 years, and we have two wonderful children.  We have a son, who will turn 13 in a few weeks and an 11-year-old daughter.  They are all very supportive, understanding, and helpful with taking care of my mom.

2.  Life is grand because my husband and I are both very fortunate to still have decent-paying jobs in this tough economy.

3.  Life is grand because everyone is our family has been blessed with health and happiness.  Even though my mom suffers from Alzheimer’s, she has learned to keep her spirits up and she stays active at home.

4.  Life is grand because we live in a house that we love which is on beautiful wooded property.  We see deer, squirrels, and occasionally wild turkeys.  Our labrador retriever and coon hound have plenty of room to play.  I love going for walks in the woods to unwind.

5.  Life is grand because I’ve been given the opportunity to care for my mother like she once cared for me.  It’s not easy, and sometimes I feel tired and frustrated.  But I know in the end, I’ll feel satisfaction that I did the best I could to keep Mom comfortable and happy.

Now, here are the five blogs that I would like to give this award to:

A Malaysian Abroad – This is a witty blog written by a lady with both a Malaysian and a Swiss heritage.  It is very enjoyable and gives you a unique perspective.

A Poets View – If you enjoy poetry, this blog is a must read.  Her posts are very beautiful.

Coffee Break – I love coffee, but I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know!  Pour a cup and stop at this blog for great conversation and to learn more ways to enjoy that java!

Health Mysteries – This blog offers great information on health and wellness tips.  Check it out to learn how to live a healthier life!

Inspiration 23 – This blog is near and dear to my heart because the author recently found out her mother has Alzheimer’s disease.  Her posts are very real and honest.  Stop by her blog as she goes through her journey of finding peace and inspiration in her life.

Thank you so much for nominating my blog. You have such a wonderful heart, an informative blog and a great outlook on life. I would have said or written that without the nomination, as your brightness on life is an inspiration to me. I will have to check out your other choices. They all sound so interesting.
